孔子与其弟子——颜回的故事 :
The Story of Confucius and his disciple, Yan Hui :
在某次孔子周游列国的时候，情况很凄惨，经常饿着肚子。有一次有七天没有吃东西了，实在走不动了，孔子就在路边躺下休息，命颜回去讨点吃的东西。颜回到附近人家好不容易讨得几碗白米，赶紧生火煮饭。
Confucius was at his one time trip, the situation is miserable, often on an empty stomach. One of seven days without eating, he couldn't go on walking, Confucius lie down on the road side, called Yan Hui going to get something to eat. Yan Hui finally got few bowls of white rice from the people in vicinity, then he made a fire to cook hurriedly.
再说孔子已是年迈之人，腹中饥饿难忍。人在旅途感觉好辛苦，不自不觉进入了梦乡。当他醒来时，他却看见正在煮饭的颜回，被青烟呛的直是咳嗽，又一看，颜回把手伸到铁锅内，顺手抓了一把米饭放在嘴里吃了起来。

颜回这下急了：“不行，刚才做饭的时候，有些烟灰掉在饭里面，弃之可惜，我就把他抓起来吃了，现在这饭已经不干净了，不能用来祭典了呀！”
Yan Hui was anxious and said : " No, in cooking just now, there were some ash on the rice, regrettable to throw it, , I had eaten it, and now the rice is not clean, and cannot be used for ritual ! ”
孔子听颜回之言后，心中一怔，这才搞清楚了事情的原委，险些冤枉了颜回，才明白方才自己的判断是错误的，看来这信任是不容易做到的。

但圣人就是圣人，能马上顿悟。孔子曰："这人心的判断有时也是靠不住的，在这世上怀疑是每个人的天性啊 !"

后来，孔子要将今天的件事情总结提醒后人。于是他把随行的弟子全叫到跟前，万般感慨并郑重其事地说：

“人所相信的是自己的眼睛，但眼睛看见也不一定就是判断正确的。人所依靠的是自己心里的判断，而自己有时心里的判断也是靠不住的，想要做到实事求是是多么的不容易啊！”
